Sydney’s resident party starter, Kristy Lee Peters a.k.a KLP, is our #WCW this week. The host of triple j’s House Party she’s also a producer, vocalist, writer and the founder of ‘Ricochet‘. Kristy is a crucial supporter in the local music scene and one that never misses an opportunity to champion women.
KLP’s recently launched ‘Ricochet’ initiative just wrapped one of it’s first songwriting camps. Pulling together artists like Alice Ivy, BRUX, Montaigne, Ninajirachi and Kota Banks to name a few, it was a great opportunity to strengthen the community of young women coming through the industry.
Not exclusive to music and women, Ricochet also focuses on health, beauty, food an passion. Basically, KLP is creating a hub for people from different creative industries to come together and build relationships that ultimately will manifest into one big inspiring community.
KLP is a hugely talented, passionate and empowering women. She’s a real team player and that’s something we find really admirable. Not looking to slow down any time soon, Kristy is expecting a baby in the not too distant future. If the way she nurtures local music is any indication, she’s going to make a beautiful mother.
