Staying local this week, our #WCW is Sydney young gun, CXLOE. Over the past 12 months or so, the singer/songwriter has been on the grind edging her way into our hearts. Now with her new single ‘Monster’ (co-written by our very own, Kota Banks) she is going for fame.
Her brooding, indie-pop puts her in the same caliber of artists like Banks and Lorde. Her songwriting is effortless and her voice – effortlessly cool. Finding that illusive middle ground between indie and commercial, she is on to something big.
Spending half her time in Los Angeles, the international stage is already calling her name. With interest from major labels, CXLOE is currently releasing her music independently. Everything she does is very thoughtful and that is something that will serve her longevity.
Australian pop music is going through such an exciting shift with young artists like CXLOE coming through. Herself and her peers are changing the game and showing the world what we’ve got. It is incredibly empowering and we can’t wait to watch the takeover unfold.
